Michael Mills is a finance executive with more than a decade of experience in financial reporting, corporate governance, and scalable accounting operations within complex public, private, and private equity-backed organizations. As Vice President, Accounting & Corporate Controller at Spire Orthopedic Partners, he leads the Company’s accounting and shared services organization, overseeing corporate accounting, technical accounting, financial statement reporting, treasury, internal controls, and external audit. He partners closely with executive leadership to strengthen financial governance, improve operational decision-making, and enhance the financial infrastructure that supports the Company’s strategic growth.

Prior to joining Spire, Mills spent 10 years with Ernst & Young (EY), most recently as an Audit Senior Manager. During his tenure, he led audit engagements for Fortune 500, public, private, and private equity-backed organizations across a variety of industries. He worked closely with CFOs, Controllers, and executive leadership to evaluate complex accounting matters, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP, while providing independent insights that enhanced financial reporting quality and strengthened governance.

Mills is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Quinnipiac University.
