Batton brings more than three decades of global finance and operational leadership to his role as Chief Financial Officer of Spire Orthopedic Partners.

Prior to joining Spire, Batton served as Chief Financial Officer at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, where over the course of five years he helped grow the business from approximately 100 clinics to more than 500 clinics, while building a financially strong organization supported by best-in-class finance and revenue cycle teams.
 

Before Ivy, Batton was the Chief Financial Officer of FreshDirect Inc., an online grocery retailer, a position he held beginning in 2014. He joined FreshDirect from CSM Bakery Solutions, a global $3 billion bakery manufacturer and distributor, where he was Global Chief Financial Officer and led the company through a successful sale process.

Earlier in his career, Batton spent 17 years at PepsiCo Inc. in a variety of leadership roles and five years with Price Waterhouse. He is a Chartered Accountant and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Technology and Business Studies from Strathclyde University in Scotland.

Batton lives in Stamford, Connecticut, with his wife Tina and their dog, MacGregor. He has two daughters, Maggie and Fiona, who are students at the University of Virginia and Indiana University, respectively. An avid golfer and half-marathon runner, he enjoys staying active—except when sidelined by injury.
